Route Details – Leg 4 – Gretna to Kirkcaldy

22nd July, Gretna – Duns – (90miles) – We make our way across the Scotland and England border today. We will be heading towards Canonbie, passing Milltown and Evertown on route. We will then head towards Newcastleton before heading straight up towards Bonchester bridge passing Saughtree before heading out to Chesters and continuing on towards Jedburgh. We will continue north towards Kelso. It likely from here we will head north west towards Coldstream before going straight north towards Edrom near Duns passing Swinton and Sinclairs Hill on route. We have been kindly offered accommodation for the night at Blanerne House. We have visited here on many occasions for business but looking forwards to actually staying her. It’s a beautiful place

23rd July, Duns – Kirkcaldy – (114miles) – . We will leave Duns heading south again towards Fishwick and cross the chain bridge into England just because we can J. We then head further East to Berwick Upon Tweed. From here we will need to hop on and off A1 avoiding it as much as we can. We come off at Lamberton before heading on and off again at Burnmouth and head north towards Eyemouth. Continuing north we will pop out towards St Abs before coming back on our self to head up towards Cove. Here we will stop at the Secret Tunnel. We will head back on the A1 until we hit junction for Broxburn and Dunbar. From Dunbar we continue north towards North Berwick passing Whitekirk and Auldhame on the way. From here we continue the coastal roads across towards the Forth Road Bridge passing Gullane, Aberlady, Port seton, Musselburgh, Leith, Newhaven, Granton, Cramond & Dalmeny. Back into Fife we are on the home stretch. Inverkeithing, Dalgety Bay, Aberdour,  Burntisland, Kinghorn before our final stop back at Kirkcaldy promenade. The last and final Leg will be complete. The challenge complete, a full 1500miles gone. More Awareness and funds raised for the EMCT trust and memories to last a lifetime.
