We haven’t even set off yet and I think the biggest challenge yet has been the planning. From raising awareness of our trip, setting up social media channels and web address, to attending events, that’s not even mentioning the overall planning. It’s been a long 3/4months. Having not been a person to plan, as I know too well things can change, my control freak side has loved it! I could go into detail about the knock backs, the hurdles trying to find accommodation, to actually buying the correct and appropriate equipment but you would be reading all night.
We aim to set off from Kirkcaldy Promenade on Saturday 8th of July at 9am. If you are free, be sure to pop along and give us your words of encouragement. The support will do wonders for our motivation. Although at this point I think we will be incredibly excited to get on our way. We have divided the trip into 4 different legs which I will note below. I’m not naive as to thing this plan will be set and stone. I know there maybe a few changes along the way but this is our aim. If you wish to see more in-depth details about each leg, please look out for future blogs. Please note the miles are estimated as we will go off route at times to visit places we would like to see, or do things we want to do.
Leg 1
Kirkcaldy – John O Groats – (413miles)
Leg 2
John O Groats – Mallaig- (390 miles)
Leg 3
Mallaig – Gretna – (430 miles)
Leg 4
Gretna – Kirkcaldy – (194 miles)
